The short version
Techowire earns money when readers buy products through links on this site. This is our only source of revenue. It does not cost you anything extra — the price you pay is the same whether you arrive from us or type the merchant’s address yourself.
Commission never determines what we recommend, how we rank a list, or which scenario label a product receives. Some of our most prominent recommendations earn us less than the alternatives we tell people to avoid.
Which programmes we use
We participate in affiliate programmes operated by, among others: Amazon Associates, Impact, Awin, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten Advertising. A merchant may be reachable through more than one network. Programme names are the property of their respective owners and are listed here for transparency only.
How affiliate links work
- Commercial links carry a tracking parameter that identifies Techowire as the referring site. That parameter is what allows the merchant to attribute a sale to us.
-
Outbound commercial links are marked with the
rel="nofollow sponsored"attribute so that search engines can distinguish them from editorial links. - We do not use link-cloaking, redirect chains or hidden intermediaries. The destination domain is visible before you click.
- Where a merchant link is not yet configured, the call to action is rendered as a disabled, clearly labelled element rather than a link to a placeholder destination. We never send readers to a fake or unrelated page.
Prices and availability
Prices, stock levels and bundle contents are set entirely by the merchant and change frequently. Techowire does not operate a pricing feed and does not guarantee that a price shown in an article is still current. For that reason our calls to action read “Check current price” rather than quoting a figure. Always confirm the current price, specification and warranty terms on the merchant’s own page before you buy.
What we do not do
- We do not sell placements, sponsored positions or “featured” labels in any list.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for a favourable verdict.
- We do not publish star ratings, scores or review counts we cannot substantiate.
- We do not claim hands-on testing that did not happen.
- We do not create fake urgency, invented stock levels or countdown timers.
