1. Who we are
Techowire (“we”, “us”) operates the website at techowire.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. For any privacy question, contact privacy@techowire.com.
2. The short version
This is a static website. There is no user account system, no login, no shopping cart and no comment section. We do not sell personal data, and we do not run advertising networks of our own. The data we hold is limited to what you send us directly and what our hosting provider and any enabled analytics record automatically.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Email address — if you submit the newsletter form or email us directly. The newsletter form on this site is processed in your browser and, until a mailing provider is connected, no address is transmitted to a server.
- Message content — the content of any email you send to one of our addresses, including attachments.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Server logs — our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer and timestamp. This is used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate traffic measurement.
- Essential storage — a small amount of browser storage is used to remember interface state (for example, that you dismissed the newsletter panel). This is not used for tracking and is not shared.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
- We do not build advertising profiles or use cross-site behavioural targeting.
- We do not collect special category data.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
5. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or comparable legislation applies, we rely on: legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics; consent for any non-essential cookie or analytics technology and for newsletter subscription; and contract where we correspond with you about a service you have asked for.
6. Third parties
Limited categories of third party may process data on our behalf or alongside us:
- Hosting and CDN provider — serves the site and keeps access logs.
- Email provider — stores and delivers correspondence sent to our published addresses.
- Affiliate networks and merchants — when you click an outbound commercial link, the destination site may set its own cookies and record the referral. That processing is governed by their privacy policy, not ours. We recommend reading it before purchasing.
7. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens we rely on the transfer safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Retention
- Server logs: retained for a short operational period, typically 30 days or fewer.
- Correspondence: retained for as long as needed to resolve the matter, then archived or deleted.
- Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email privacy@techowire.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because there is no account system and no database of user records, the attack surface is deliberately small. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
